Are you likely to be able to perform any physical work for teams ahead of the draft?
The primary thing is simply getting medically cleared, that's the number. 1 priority. When I'm medically cleared I'll undergo an evaluation by my agent and we'll decide.
What are the teams you have talked to that have been in touch with about you most?
The process is basically the smoke and mirrors. You can't really tell who's really, really interested in your work, since some people like to hold their cards tight to their chest and others do not. There are numerous teams I've contacted however that's a query that I'm not able to answer because you never really know until draft day.
Have you found any team that you're particularly interested in, whether you were a child or a specific system that you like?
To be honest, I need to be playing at the highest level in football. That's what's most important for me. I don't care about where I go as long as wherever I go they're going get a very talented, driven guy that's going take every inch of his potential, and max all the potential I have within my body. Anywhere I happen to land is going to find a man with fully realized potential all year round, and year out.
Are there any players that you can model yourself on?
I'd say Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski. A hint of Kellen Winslow, senior not junior.

I'm pretty great route runner. I need to work on the consistency of being the top route runner but my route running ability can be compared to my ability to move open, my ability to make the catch that is contested My blocking. I'm one of the best tight ends who block that you can find in draft.
It's my opinion that I'm having the best overall. You know, I'm an all-round tight-end like Rob Gronkowski, who can block, catch, make plays; like Jimmy Graham, I can play out and catch slants all over the field. I'm also like Kellen Winslow Sr. as an effective playmaker. When it's in your grasp, I will find the zone of the finish.
Now that you have evaluated yourself Do you have anything that you believe you need to work on?
I am convinced that I need to improve in every aspect. To improve my route-running abilities, I'm looking to improve my consistency of pad level for blocking as well as the technique. It's true, I have to make improvements on everything in order to get to where I'd like to be in the future.
When you think back to the combine, was it tough hearing at the last minute that you wouldn't be able work out?
Yes, you've worked all day long for two to three months and are ready to demonstrate to everyone how efficient you're, and then suddenly, they tell you that you can't. That's why it was a bit of a snub but I'm sure that doctors were watching out for me, and I appreciate that. After looking back, I'm happy I didn't run because you never know what might occur. It's happened before with individuals who do not take care of themselves.
What was your immediate reaction after hearing about the news?
My first thought was, 'you could let me go because I've practiced on it and I've played on it all through the year so it's unlikely to break today.'
What was it with teams that you met in Indianapolis?
It was good. It was an enjoyable experience. You only get 15 minutes with a team before a blowhorn goes off, and it was an exciting experience. The way it works and it's an enjoyable experience. I was glad I was lucky enough be invited to the meet. I am grateful for it. It was an unforgettable experience. I will never forget it.
Let's guess that one the topics discussed during conversations was that of your arrest back in of 2013. Was that subject broached?
Of course it was. It was true that I was detained. Everyone brought it up and asked me questions about it and I gave them exactly the same response.
I didn't hide from it. I accepted my responsibility for it.
It is what it is. It occurred. I gained a lot from it, and it was one of the most positive effects have had throughout my life even though it was negative in the moment when it was happening.
What turned out to be an opportunity for you?
You'll realize that you had only one chanceto make it happen and I was lucky enough to receive a second opportunity at University of Washington. University of Washington. You get to achieve your goals. I make an effort to tell children about high school students. I've talked to several high schools on the consequences of drinking and driving and the impact it has on people and how it can harm you, and kill other people as well as your family.
The most amazing thing is that it happened before I was even in Madden NFL 24. I accepted responsibility for it. I didn't run away from it. I took responsibility for it, and I moved on.
You've talked about being a mentor for younger children. Do you know anyone that has been your mentor?
You know, really? No. I kind of just pay attention to the coaches I had, Steve Sarkisian and Doug Nussmeier who is now the offensive coordinator for Michigan and when they were in my team, I just followed them, how they operated. So I just follow their example.
Have you contacted anyone?
Really not. I've spoken to Mark Bruener who played for the University of Washington, then Houston and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I've had conversations with him a number of times. And I've talked to a number of other people who have been through the same program which is called in the University of Washington -- as tight ends.
What kinds of things have they told you?
I'd like to get some helpful tips for the next step, some dos and don'ts. They support me by offering support. If I ever have a need or have someone I can talk to about something I'll contact them with a message. They're always open line of communication for me and I truly appreciate it from them.

On a personal level Do you feel that you are ready to end your college experience and start afresh?
Oh , sure. I'm done. I'm done with my college.
You know, it was great. It was a wonderful experience at the University of Washington. Washington was an awesome great place to be at -- outstanding academics, amazing coaches, great teammates, friends all that- but I just felt at ease, and I felt adequate and mature. A little more mature in my daily life.
I was so ready to go after everything I faced throughout my years. I felt mentally, physically, emotionally ready to go to an even higher level and begin the next chapter of my life.
What are the things you think you'll think you'll miss the most concerning Seattle or the college?
I'm going to miss my teammates and that's the extent of it. All I care about is my teammates.
