Forza Horizon 6 has taken the racing world by storm, dropping players straight into a highly detailed, neon-soaked recreation of Japan. With a starting roster of over 550 vehicles, there is plenty to drive right out of the box. However, the real gems of the game aren’t sitting in the standard Autoshow waiting for you to buy them. Playground Games has hidden some of the most legendary, high-performance machinery behind layers of progression, exploration, and secret menus.

If you want to fill your digital garage with rare beasts like the rotary-powered Mazda 787B or ultra-exclusive time-attack monsters, you need to know exactly where to look. Here is a practical, no-nonsense guide to unlocking the hidden cars in FH6.

1. Master the Explorer Stamp System (Barn Finds)
The iconic Barn Finds return in Forza Horizon 6, but this time they are strictly gated by the new Explorer Stamp system. You can’t just stumble upon these hidden barns by accident; you have to earn the right to know their locations by increasing your rating through races, stories, and finding hidden collectibles across Japan's 10 distinct regions.

There are 15 hidden Barn Finds in total, spread across seven different colored stamp tiers (Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple, and Gold). As you level up, character cues from Mei Hasegawa or Yuji Kono will trigger a purple circle on your map, indicating a search zone.

Case Study: The High-Tier Rewards
To show you exactly how much effort goes into these, let’s look at the data for two of the most sought-after hidden cars in the game:

The Mid-Game Target (Pink Stamp): Once you hit the Pink Stamp tier, you unlock the location for the 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R. This S2-class beast features an 8.4 handling rating right out of the barn, making it a dominant force for Tokyo's tight street circuits. It is hidden in the western part of the Takashiro Region.

The Ultimate Endgame (Gold Stamp): Reaching the final Gold Stamp tier unlocks the legendary 1991 Mazda #55 787B (R-class, featuring a perfect 10 braking and 9.6 handling score) in central Takashiro.

The Catch: Once found, these cars require real-time restoration. If you want to skip the hours of waiting, the game demands a massive credit fee to instantly fix them.

2. Dig Into Car Mastery Trees (The Secret Dynamic)
Some of the most exclusive cars aren't found in fields; they are hidden inside the Skill Trees of other cars. This mechanic trips up many casual players. To get these secret vehicles, you must buy a specific "donor car" from the Autoshow, bank dozens of Skill Points by drifting or smashing objects, and unlock the specific perk path inside that car's menu.

There are 5 secret Car Mastery cars in FH6. For example, spending points to climb the skill tree of a standard high-tier model can suddenly award you a completely separate, unlisted track car or vintage racer. This process is a massive resource sink—requiring hundreds of thousands of credits for the donor vehicles and roughly 20 to 30 Skill Points per car to reach the hidden node.

3. The Efficiency Shortcut: Bypassing the Grind
Let's look at the math raw. Unlocking all 15 Barn Finds and the 5 Car Mastery vehicles requires dozens of hours of gameplay. Farming enough Skill Points to unlock mastery trees means running custom EventLab maps repeatedly—a process that takes about 21 seconds per run to bank 10 Skill Points. To unlock a single top-tier hidden car, you might need to repeat this loop 50 times.

For players who balance gaming with jobs or school, this repetitive loop simply isn't fun. If you want to jump straight to racing down Mount Fuji without spending three weeks grinding for the perfect setup, utilizing a trusted third-party marketplace is a highly popular alternative. Platforms like U4N allow players to safely acquire rare vehicles and high-tier FH6 items directly. Instead of burning your limited free time on repetitive menus and map loops, this route injects the necessary resources straight into your account, letting you focus entirely on the actual driving experience.

4. Weekly Festival Playlists
Finally, keep an eye on the rotating seasonal weather changes. Forza Horizon 6 operates on a strict weekly real-world schedule, mimicking Japan's seasons from winter snows to spring Sakura blossoms.

Each week, Playground Games locks at least one or two exclusive cars behind a 20-point or 40-point milestone in the Festival Playlist. These cars are strictly time-limited. If you miss the week they are active, they vanish from the active reward pool and can only be bought via the in-game Auction House, where inflation often drives their prices up to the maximum 20,000,000 credit cap within days. Keep a close eye on the weekly challenges so you don't get locked out of the game's rarest sheet metal.
