Skill Points are one of the most valuable resources in Forza Horizon 6. They unlock Car Mastery rewards, Wheelspins, Super Wheelspins, credits, and even exclusive bonuses that can speed up your overall progression. While many players focus on racing for rewards, experienced players know that efficient Skill Point farming can generate far greater long-term value.

The key is finding routes that allow you to build large skill chains quickly without constantly crashing or losing your combo. After testing different regions of the FH6 Japan map, several locations stand out as the most efficient places to farm skills.

Why Skill Farming Matters

The FH6 economy is heavily tied to Skill Points through the Car Mastery system. Many players convert Skill Points into Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins through specific vehicle mastery trees, making Skill Point farming one of the fastest ways to build wealth.

Remember that a skill chain can only convert into a limited number of Skill Points at once, so banking your combo regularly is more efficient than endlessly extending it.

Route 1: East Shimanoyama Logging Area

If you want pure efficiency, this is arguably the strongest open-world farming location right now.

Located east of Shimanoyama, the area contains chopped trees, stacks of lumber, and plenty of destructible objects. Players have highlighted this zone as one of the easiest places to generate massive skill chains thanks to the density of breakable objects.

A typical farming run looks like this:

Enter with a high-multiplier vehicle.

Drift between lumber piles.

Smash fences and small objects.

Maintain the combo through sideswipes and destruction bonuses.

Many players can bank 8-10 Skill Points in under two minutes when the route is driven cleanly.

Route 2: Daikoku Parking Area and Tokyo Docks

The Tokyo region is famous for highway racing, but it is also an excellent Skill Point farming zone.

The area around Daikoku Parking Area and the nearby docks offers:

Wide roads.

Numerous barriers.

Traffic for Near Miss bonuses.

Long stretches for drift chains.

A good strategy is to start at Daikoku, drift through industrial roads, collect wreckage bonuses, then transition into the dock district where there are fewer obstacles capable of ending your combo.

This route works especially well with rear-wheel-drive drift builds.

Route 3: Norikura Skyline Mountain Pass

Norikura Skyline is one of the most famous mountain roads on the map.

While mountain roads are usually associated with racing, Norikura is excellent for advanced skill farming because of its continuous corners.

Benefits include:

Endless drift opportunities.

Minimal traffic interruption.

Consistent speed bonuses.

Long downhill sections.

A skilled drifter can maintain a combo for several kilometers without banking. The route is less beginner-friendly than Shimanoyama but offers a higher ceiling for experienced players.

Route 4: Kitayama Big Daisugi Forest Trails

Located in the Ito region, Kitayama Big Daisugi sits among dense forest roads and dirt trails.

This area is ideal for players who enjoy off-road vehicles.

The farming loop is simple:

Start near the forest trail.

Smash bushes and small trees.

Chain drift skills on dirt corners.

Continue through the wooded sections.

Because the terrain is forgiving, you can recover from mistakes more easily than on mountain roads.

For rally builds and SUVs, this route often feels more relaxed than the high-speed Tokyo or Norikura options.

Route 5: Custom Skill Farm Events

Open-world farming is great, but custom events remain the fastest method for pure Skill Point generation.

Community-created routes such as "Fastest Max Skill Points" have become popular because they pack jumps, destructible objects, and combo opportunities into a very short course. Several recent guides highlight the Share Code 861224889 as one of the most efficient farming setups currently available.

Many players report earning the maximum Skill Points from a combo in less than a minute when using optimized vehicles and assists.

Best Cars for Skill Farming

The best farming vehicles usually have large Skill Chain multipliers.

Popular choices include:

Subaru Impreza 22B STI

Lamborghini Revuelto

Drift-focused Forza Edition vehicles

High-powered AWD rally builds

The Subaru 22B has become especially popular because its mastery tree provides strong skill bonuses while remaining affordable compared to many supercars.

Interestingly, many players combine these farming routes with Car Mastery farming. After accumulating enough Skill Points, they unlock Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins through selected vehicles. In discussions about progression strategies, you'll often see players mentioning U4N, cheap FH6 super wheelspin when talking about maximizing rewards and saving time.

For most players, the East Shimanoyama logging area is currently the best balance of accessibility and efficiency. Beginners can earn Skill Points quickly without needing advanced driving techniques.

If you're comfortable drifting, Norikura Skyline and the Tokyo docklands offer significantly larger skill chains. Meanwhile, off-road fans should head straight to Kitayama Big Daisugi for a more forgiving farming experience.

No matter which route you choose, remember that consistency matters more than chasing a single giant combo. Banking 8 to 10 Skill Points every few minutes will usually outperform risky attempts at massive chains that end in a crash.
