A serious item management issue has been reported in Path of Exile 2, centered around the way Verisium is converted into Liquid Verisium using vendor interactions. The problem specifically affects the Shift + Ctrl + Click (or Shift + Click) bulk-purchase shortcut when dealing with Farrow’s Gamble and can lead to massive unintended resource loss.

The core issue is simple but severe: using the bulk shortcut does not properly scale the output, resulting in players losing large amounts of stored Verisium while only receiving a single converted item.

Bug Overview

The issue appears when players attempt to quickly convert Verisium using standard bulk-buy convenience inputs. Instead of processing conversions correctly, the system mishandles the transaction.

The Cause: The Shift + Click or Shift + Ctrl + Click shortcut bypasses normal per-item verification logic. This leads the game to consume all stored raw Verisium at once without properly calculating the correct output quantity.

The Result: Only a single Liquid Verisium item is granted, regardless of how much raw material was consumed.

The Scale of Loss: Reports from players suggest losses ranging from around 9,000 Verisium to over 60,000 Verisium in a single interaction.

Affected System: The interaction occurs during conversion at Farrow’s Gamble, where Liquid Verisium is exchanged for raw materials.

This is not a minor UI glitch. It directly affects progression economy and can wipe out an entire stash of a league’s farming progress in seconds.

Grinding Gear Games has acknowledged the problem publicly on X (formerly Twitter) and confirmed that a fix is in progress, though no exact deployment time has been provided yet.

How to Safely Exchange Verisium

Until the issue is patched, players should completely avoid any bulk-purchase or modifier-key interactions when converting Verisium.

Use Single Click Only: Convert Verisium one unit at a time. Do not hold Shift, Ctrl, or any combination of modifier keys during the transaction.

Avoid Fast Trading Inputs: Any shortcut that attempts to speed up vendor conversion increases the risk of triggering the bug.

Console Caution: Console players face a related UI issue where holding the interact button during conversion may accidentally activate nearby Runic Remnants instead of the intended action. Clearing the area before interacting is strongly recommended.

This bug highlights how fragile high-volume item conversion systems can become when shortcut inputs are involved. What should be a simple quality-of-life feature—bulk purchasing—ends up creating a high-risk interaction that can erase hours or even days of farming progress.
